PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, a leading mission-based healthcare institution, is seeking a highly competent and motivated individual to fill the position of a Driver. The hospital is dedicated to providing quality, affordable healthcare and training services driven by Christian values and has four units namely, General, Eye, Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation, and Dental. In addition, the hospital has a School of Nursing, and a satellite clinic which is located at Matasia in Ngong. Job Summary

The Driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for patients, staff, and hospital supplies while ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and hospital policies. The role also involves maintaining vehicles in good working condition and supporting hospital operations including outreach and emergency referrals.

Summary of Duties

  • Safely transport patients, staff, and hospital supplies to designated locations.
  • Support hospital outreach programs, referrals, and emergency transport when required.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of patients during transportation.
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and report mechanical faults promptly.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure scheduled servicing and inspections.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and practice defensive driving at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • KCSE Certificate
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant driving experience
  • Valid and clean driving license for light vehicles (additional classes an added advantage)
  • Defensive driving certification
  • Driving Assessment Report from AA Kenya
  • Basic First Aid or vehicle maintenance training is an added advantage
