OSUC is a 12 week course offered at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital - Eye Unit at Kshs.60,000 only with accommodation available upon request.

OSUC 2020 TRAINING

The Hospital is soliciting for qualified applicants for the position of:-

1. Physiotherapist.

Position requirements:-

 

  • Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years working experience.
  • Should demonstrate high level of Commitment, Integrity, Professionalism, Stewardship, Teamwork, Compassion and Innovation & Excellence.
  • Should be computer literate

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Formulate and deliver individual and group physiotherapy treatment programs. Determine patients’ understanding of treatment proposals to ensure valid patient consent.

·         Encourage patients in an active approach to regaining and maintaining independence. 

·         Formulate prognosis and recommend best course of intervention, develop discharge plans.

·         Evaluate patients’ progress, reassess and alter treatment program if required, developing reflective practice.  

 

2. Nursing School Librarian

Position requirements:

  • Diploma in Library Management and Information Studies from a recognized institution.

  • At least 2 years experience in Library or Information Management.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with the use of databases and the internet
  • Team working and Management skills
  • Good Presentation and  Communication skills
Duties and responsibilities:

  • Selecting, developing, cataloguing and classifying library resources
  • Using library systems and specialist computer application
  • Ensuring that library services meet the needs of particular groups of users
  • Managing budgets and resources
  • Supporting research and learning users
  • Classify and catalog items according to content and purpose
  • Prepare, store, and retrieve classification and catalog information, lecture notes, or other information related to stored documents, using computers.
